God really blessed our NYC Spring Break trips and the 180 students who came from around the US last month. By the end of the three weeks, 34 students on campuses across NYC trusted Christ as their savior for the first time! Please pray that these new believers will get plugged into a strong church and will get involved with Cru or another Christian ministry on their campus.

During spring break, Nick, one of our NYC Cru staff, took visiting spring break students to Lehman College in the Bronx. Nick and the students prayed and approached a Lehman student named Raina. She was hungry to hear more about how to have a personal relationship with God and Nick and the students shared the gospel with her.

This was a turning point in Raina’s life. The entire group had tears in their eyes as Raina prayed a prayer asking Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. Afterward, she said, “I really can’t believe it. Last week I wondered how I could start a real relationship with God. My life has been out of control. It’s crazy that you walked over to me today!” People truly are interested in the gospel – we just need to be willing to reach out to them.

Last week, Robin helped lead a conference in Clearwater Beach, FL for our Cru Northeast regional team leaders. One topic we discussed is how to open Cru movements on college campuses where we do not have Cru staff. We talked about coaching students and other volunteers on these campuses on how they can to build their own Cru movement on their campus. It was a great time of fellowship, relationship building, and collaboration.

We are thankful that we could go to Florida a few days early and visit with Evelyn, Rachel, and Caleb. Evelyn has grown so much since we last saw her in January. She’s now crawling, waving, and doing all those adorable things that 8-month-old babies do. Here’s a photo of Evelyn with Grandma and Grandpa!

Robin and I are working on our biennial Cru staff conference this summer in Colorado, which includes seminary classes and numerous trainings. We’ve helped lead this conference since 1999. This year, Cru17 will include a special time for those who partner with us in ministry. You’re invited to come to Connection Weekend from July 21-23. Connection Weekend is a time where Cru staff and partners will gather to share, grow, and learn how we can partner better to reach the world for Jesus Christ. We hope you’ll consider joining us! More info can be found at www.cru.org/connection-weekend.html.

Thank you for coming alongside us in helping build God’s kingdom on earth so that lives are changed for eternity. You are a blessing and an encouragement to us!

Yours in Christ,

Steve & Robin
