“I feel an urgency to share this curriculum. I can’t let more time go by and allow another generation to be lost.” Cru’s International School Project (ISP) ministry provides professional training for teachers using curricula and other materials that will meet the real needs in their classrooms and communities. ISP was formed in 1991 through an invitation from the Russian Ministry of Education to help develop morals and ethics in their youth.

Since 1991, ISP has trained more than 91,000 teachers in 24 countries, impacting the lives of more than 30,000,000 students and their parents. ISP has expanded from Russia to include Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central and South America.

ISP, in partnership with local and national Ministries of Education, sponsors conferences that will equip educators in their classrooms and help raise the moral standards in society. These conferences introduce teachers to a curriculum based on a foundation of Christian ethics that will help students avoid alcohol, drug abuse, and sexually transmitted diseases. ISP’s curricula and materials help meet the social and spiritual needs in the classroom and the community.

Close friends of ours just returned from an ISP trip to Ecuador. While there, they saw God move in mighty ways. At the end of a training session, one man said, “I was not invited to this ISP conference. A friend told me about it and I decided to come and try to get enrolled on the first day. I was very happy when I was allowed to participate. I have learned so much here. I do not think it was a coincidence that I attended this conference. I think that it was God who opened the doors for me to learn so many good things to share with my students.” Please pray for the teachers in Ecuador who will now share this Christian-based curriculum with their students.

ISP trips are also open for non-Cru staff. You do not have to be a teacher to go on one of their training trips. People are trained to be a small group facilitator and, through an interpreter, help teachers grow in their faith and influence their students for eternity. Since Robin and I serve at Cru’s World headquarters, our work impacts all of our worldwide ministries such as ISP. It’s such a blessing that God invites us to play a part in spreading the gospel around the world.

Please continue to pray for my health and healing. My latest blood work shows that I haven’t improved with my Epstein Barr or Lyme disease. Pray that we can find treatments that will put these into remission. Praise God that I am able to work from home.

Yours in Christ,

Steve & Robin
