“I loved being able to spread the gospel and share my testimony. I just want to thank our wonderful God for allowing us to share His Word.” – Facebook post from DJ, a college student from South Carolina who came last year to the NYC Spring Break trip. DJ had never shared the gospel until he came with his school to New York City.

While here, DJ was given the training he needed and the opportunity to initiate spiritual conversations with students on NYC campuses. DJ returned to his campus, excited to be able to tell others about Christ’s grace and mercy.

This year, Robin and I are planning all the logistics for the NYC Spring Break trips. We are hosting 3 weeks of spring break trips from February 27 – March 18 with about 200 students attending. Many of those students, like DJ, will be sharing the gospel for the first time. Please be praying for the students who are coming to NYC from around the eastern US. Pray that they will be obedient to God in telling others about Him. Pray for the NYC students that they will talk to while they are here. And pray for the weather and for all the details that still need to be taken care of before students arrive.

Here are a few other quotes from students who were in NYC last year for spring break: "I went to East Asia last summer and it was difficult because I didn't see anyone pray to receive Christ the entire time. The first day of sharing in NYC a girl from the country I had previously been in prayed to receive Christ with me. It showed me that you can still reach the nations by reaching international students."

"I went to campus [in NYC] for the first time expecting mostly everyone to identify as a Christian. However, I quickly realized that I was no longer in the Bible belt. Everyone I talked to was either Jewish or didn't identify with a religion. I learned so much about other peoples' views, and through that I was able to strengthen my faith in my views. I had a completely different experience than I have ever had in North Carolina and it was amazing and a growing experience for me."

We found out last week that Rachel and Caleb’s baby is a girl! Evelyn Lane Gulliver will arrive at the end of July. On another note, so far we’ve survived winter. A few weeks ago, we enjoyed the record-setting blizzard from the windows of our warm apartment. On Valentine’s Day the wind chill made the temperature below zero degrees. Both times we didn’t venture out.

But we love living and ministering in NYC and are grateful that the Lord called us to serve here with Cru. We are also grateful for your prayers for us and our ministry. You are having an eternal impact on the lives of people.

Yours in Christ,

Steve & Robin
