Cru’s Athletes in Action (AIA) ministry has been ministering to athletes for over 50 years to help them grow in all aspects of life (physically, mentally, and spiritually) to become total athletes.

AIA helps them understand how culture, relationships, character, and identity intersect in sports. It also connects athletes and coaches to their global community, where they can develop a God-centered worldview and discover purpose during and after their competing careers.

AIA is extending a special invitation to pray for the U.S.A. 2024 Olympic athletes in Paris. You can visit the prayforfive.com website and select five random athletes, or read through athletes’ profiles and build your list. For the first five days of the Olympics, you will receive a devotional by email.

Another option is to use the YouVersion Bible App. In the app, search for the phrase "Praying for Athletes." The plan's title is "God.Life.Sport | Praying for Athletes," which provides devotionals and prayer requests.

The devotionals are from “The AIA Principles,” AIA’s training curriculum. AIA pulled key content from this course into a condensed five-day devotional with suggested prayer requests.

This summer, Robin is helping oversee Cru’s New Staff Orientation (NSO) and Cru’s internal seminary. At NSO, 72 new missionaries will be trained, commissioned, and sent into God’s harvest (Matthew 9:37). Through Cru’s seminary, our missionaries grow in their understanding and relationship with God and are equipped to share the gospel and disciple others (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Cru’s worldwide vision is “movements everywhere so everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.” Robin and I sincerely appreciate your partnership in fulfilling this vision.

Yours in Christ,

Steve & Robin
