Cru uses conferences and summer mission trips to WIN people to Christ, BUILD (disciple and train them in sharing the gospel), and SEND them out into a lost world to share God’s love and forgiveness. Cru has combined the two to create a unique mission opportunity this summer.

At Cru’s Getaway 2023, high school and college students from across the U.S. will come together at Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles from June 25–30 to hear from engaging speakers, worship with amazing musicians, and hear how God is working around the world. They will be equipped and challenged to go out into God’s harvest to share the gospel.

Immediately following Getaway 2023, they will have the opportunity to leave the conference to go on summer mission trips to Albania, Central Asia, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Fiji and New Zealand, Hungary, Kosovo, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.

These mission trips will give high school students around the world the opportunity to hear the gospel. For example, the country in Central Asia where the students are going is closed to traditional Christian influence. Recently, missionaries there have seen an unprecedented response to the gospel. Through teaching conversational English and developing relationships with local students, the Getaway group will share the gospel with those who have likely never heard it before.

In Columbia, they will speak in school assemblies, after-school evangelism outreaches, and connect with students while on campus. They will also work with Filter of Hope (filterofhope.org) to provide clean drinking water in local communities.

Please pray for students around the U.S. to sense and follow God’s call to attend Getaway 2023 and go on one of these life-changing summer mission trips. Pray for safe travel and opportunities to develop relationships and share the gospel. Pray for the local students’ hearts to be open to accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Robin is having hip replacement surgery on March 27. Please pray that the surgery will go well and for Robin as she heals and recovers in the following months.

Thank you for partnering with us so that people around the world can hear the good news of the gospel.

Yours in Christ,

Steve & Robin
