“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1) We have so many things to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, we are thankful that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, and for Jesus’ work on the cross that offers us mercy, grace, love, and forgiveness. We are thankful that God gives each believer the Holy Spirit to guide, direct, and intercede for us.

We are thankful that God has called us to serve Him with Cru. We feel blessed to be missionaries and to be a part of the work that God is doing around the world through Cru. We are thankful for our ministry partners who pray and support our ministry. Together we are reaching a lost and dying world with the good news of Jesus Christ!

Here are a few other things that we are praising God for:

Recently, the Jesus Film celebrated their 1,700th language translation of the Jesus Film. It is the Cheke Itolo language for the people living on the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. Several language translations are currently being scripted for people groups in the Amazon rainforest. God’s word is so much more powerful when someone can read or hear it in their heart language!

Cru’s EveryStudent.com website has reached more than 1.5 million people in closed countries in the last four months. During this time in Egypt, 2,529 people prayed to receive Jesus Christ after reading articles on this website. These new believers have been sent a Bible study on the book of John and directed to the follow-up website StartingWithGod.com.

Over 2,800 college students went on Summer Mission trips in 2018. They shared the gospel more than 63,000 times, with about 5,300 people coming to faith in Christ through these conversations. These college students will take these skills back to their campuses and communities to spread God’s love and forgiveness long after their summer experience.

In 2018, 318 people, mostly recent college graduates, became full-time missionaries with Cru in the U.S. They are serving all over the world, ministering to every segment of society. Another 290 people are serving in one-year internships on college campuses around the world, and 365 are interning with Cru ministries in the US.

We are thankful for a recent visit with Robby and Annie and to be sharing a house with Rachel, Caleb, and Evelyn. And, we are thankful to announce that Rachel is expecting a baby boy in January!

We are so thankful for you and your partnership with us in life and ministry. You are a true blessing to us!

Yours in Christ,

Steve & Robin
