Fall is one of the busiest times for our Cru Campus staff and student leaders as they seek to meet new students on campus. Lynsey, a good friend of ours, shared:
“This past weekend, Cru student leaders organized two events for students on campus: a glow party with glow-in-the-dark volleyball, 9-square, and other sports for the first-year students on Friday and a river tubing trip for first-year and upper-level students on Saturday.
“On Labor Day, my coworker Seth and I planned our annual Volleyball Blast Tournament on campus. We had 35 teams play volleyball games, two mini-games of water balloon toss (photo), and a 9-square tournament for students to play throughout the tournament.
“Last Tuesday and Wednesday, our staff team and student leaders handed out spiritual interest surveys on campus. I met several gals interested in Cru who attended our first Cru weekly meeting (photo) on Thursday. After the Cru meeting, we held a pizza and ice cream party where I helped students connect with campus Bible studies.
“220 students came to our first Cru meeting, and 11 prayed to receive Christ as their personal Savior and Lord! Praise the Lord!
“Our last new student kickoff event was a Corn Roast, where we had 300+ ears of roasted corn. Events like this help our Cru staff and student leaders reach students interested in knowing more about God.
“This week, our students started leading individual Bible studies on campus. The Cru staff and I met up with the students we are mentoring and started following up with students who said they were interested in learning how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I am so excited!!” Please pray for our Cru staff as they share the gospel with college students and faculty on campuses worldwide.
Thank you for your invaluable prayers and partnership with our ministry. Because of you, many students are hearing the gospel this fall for the first time!
Yours in Christ,
Steve & Robin
